Faversham’s under-18 team were the only youth side in action yesterday (Sunday), as the last of Town’s Kent Youth League outfits ended their season.

The Lilywhites fell to a 4-2 home defeat to Bearsted, which saw Bearsted confirmed as Kent Youth League, South Division champions after, what many in attendance called, a high quality game.

The visitors raced into a 2-0 led but Faversham fought back well to draw level at 2-2 after the break.

However, Bearsted retook the lead later in the second period and sealed the victory in stoppage-time.

The result means the U18 outfit, managed by Nick Salthouse, will finish their Kent Youth League, South Division campaign in 4th position on 29 points off 18 league fixtures.

The under-16 side, managed by Chris Greenfield, finished their season in joint third-place alongside Dartford in the Kent Youth League, Central Division table on 33 points off 18 league matches.

The U15 team, managed by Paul Gates, ended their campaign in joint second spot along with Ramsgate in the Kent Youth League, South Division on 48 points off 20 league games.

Lastly, the under-14 outfit, managed by Leigh Brown, ended their season in 10th position in the Kent Youth League, South Division on six points.

Confirmation on the top goalscorers for each of these teams is likely to follow later this week…..

But for now, all that is left to say is well done to all involved with, not only the four Kent Youth League sides, but also all the other teams in Faversham Town Junior and Youth leagues (more details can be found here).

Have a good summer and we hope to see you again soon for the start of the 2015/16 season.
