Faversham Town vs Dorking Wanderers – Tuesday 5th January, 7.45pm kick-off (Shepherd Neame Stadium, Salters Lane, Faversham, Kent. Postcode: ME13 8ND).

Match status – Game OFF.

Stanford due to return for Town’s Quarter-Final

Faversham Town manager Ray Turner hopes to have winger Josh Stanford back available for his team’s match against Dorking Wanderers at the Shepherd Neame Stadium.

Winger Stanford missed the Lilywhites’ 1-0 wins over Chatham Town and Sittingbourne over the Christmas period, although, he will be back in time for this Robert Dyas League Cup Quarter-Final tie.

However, one player who the hosts will not be able to call upon is striker Stuart King.

King, who scored both of Faversham’s goals as the Lilywhites ended their eight-game winless run with a 2-1 win over the away side in the two outfits’ only ever previous meeting in October, has recently left Town.

Dorking have enjoyed a good debut season in the Ryman South so far and they are in 6th position in the league table, three points behind Turner’s men but with two games in hand.

They beat Peacehaven & Telscombe, Ryman Premier League outfit Burgess Hill Town and Walton & Hersham to reach this stage of the competition, while Faversham got the better of Whitstable Town in a penalty shootout, Folkestone Invicta and Dulwich Hamlet.

Wanderers winger Dane Luchford will come up against his former club, having joined the visitors from league leaders Folkestone Invicta in December.

He will be joined by former Republic of Ireland U19 star Jason Hughes, who joined the away side from Irish side Sligo Rovers yesterday (Sunday).

The visitors beat Chipstead 1-0 in their last fixture on Boxing Day after their home game with Walton & Hersham was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch last Saturday.
