Faversham Town vs Tooting & Mitcham United – Saturday 21st November, 3pm kick-off (Shepherd Neame Stadium, Salters Lane, Faversham, Kent. Postcode: ME13 8ND).

Lilywhites look to continue unbeaten run

Faversham Town will look to continue their five-game unbeaten Ryman South run with a home match against Tooting & Mitcham United at the Shepherd Neame Stadium on Saturday.

The Lilywhites continued their current unbeaten league run, and bounced back from their 1-0 defeat at Tonbridge Angels, with a 3-1 win over Three Bridges on Tuesday evening through a Stuart King brace and a first senior goal for Liam King.

That win means the hosts head into this weekend’s fixtures on 34 points off 21 league fixtures, three points behind fifth-placed Carshalton Athletic and a Play-off place.

Meanwhile, the visitors are 17th on 25 points off 20 league matches.

The Terrors drew 1-1 at home to Walton & Hersham in their last outing last Saturday with Jake Baxter on the score sheet.

In the two meetings between the two outfits last season, Wayne Wilson scored the only goal in Faversham’s 1-0 home win, while fellow midfield man Josh Stanford came off the substitutes bench to score twice in the away side’s 3-2 victory at Imperial Fields last campaign with David Botterill also scoring.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s home match against Tooting & Mitcham United, Turner said: “They are all winnable when we are in this mood and they are all difficult. So, it works both ways. But I think we just have to look at the positives and look to see if we can keep mounting points up.”

Turner also revealed attacker Renford Tenyue is close to a return to fitness, having last played for the home team in Town’s 1-0 loss at Peacehaven & Telscombe in late September.
